Undergraduate Students
If you are an undergraduate student at Harvard and have interest in doing research at the Wyss Institute during the academic year, please contact an Institute faculty member directly. Wyss-funded summer research positions for undergraduates from any university to work at the Wyss will be advertised through Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Science's REU program.
Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows

Wyss Technology Development Fellows
The Institute seeks to discover, recruit, encourage and retain individuals of outstanding talent and technical skills who can help advance the Institute's Enabling Technology Platforms as Wyss Technology Development Fellows. The Fellowships are intended for brilliant young women and men of great promise with outstanding technical expertise who have completed their doctoral degree within the last five years. The Wyss Institute currently welcomes nominations for a Wyss Fellow in the following enabling technology platforms: Adaptive Architecture and Robotics; Anticipatory Medical Devices; Biomaterials Evolution; Biomimetic Microsystems; and Programmable Nanomaterials. Wyss Visiting Scholars
The Institute will provide support to a limited number of visiting scientists, engineers, designers or industrial experts from other institutions to carry out research and development at the Institute for limited periods of time. Wyss faculty nominate the visiting scholars.
Wyss Clinical Scholars
The Institute will provide support to a small number of Clinical Faculty at our partner institutions to release them temporarily from the majority of their hospital responsibilities in order to work at the Institute Site and be mentored in bioinspired technology development and translation by Institute Faculty. If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity by bridging clinical medicine and bioinspired technology development, please send your curriculum vitae and an e-mail describing your interests, goals and relevant experience to: susan.kelley@wyss.harvard.edu.
Wyss Faculty
The Institute recently closed two faculty searches: one on Engineered Biomaterials with the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and another on Synthetic Biology with the Harvard Medical School Department of Systems Biology.
