Industrial Partnerships

Industrial alliances play a central role at the Wyss Institute as they help to guarantee that new technologies developed by the Institute will be continuously translated into world-transforming products for high-risk, high-value applications. Wyss faculty and staff maintain a continuous dialogue with their corporate partners to obtain ongoing feedback on the importance of problems faced in the material and device areas, and to refine the Institute’s plans to help solve these problems.

Corporate partners leverage the innovative interdisciplinary work of the Wyss’ world-renowned faculty, scientists, engineers and expert clinicians, as well as the unique capabilities of its Enabling Technology Platforms. Technical experts on the Advanced Technology Team provide a natural conduit between the academic and industrial realms, and they guide collaborative research and development projects to successful completion. Industrial collaborators also have the opportunity to place their own scientific and engineering staff at the Institute site as visiting scholars who collaborate actively and experience the Wyss interdisciplinary culture firsthand.

The Wyss also welcomes partnerships with venture capitalists and other investors in early stage technologies.
