Kathryn joined the Wyss in March 2016 as its senior compliance officer with responsibility for supporting the Institute’s research mission, particularly in the areas of conflicts of interest and export controls. She has over 13 years of experience launching, leading, and advising institutions dedicated to research and higher education. Her past roles include the founding executive director of Harvard’s Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology and the Dean for Administration of the School of Arts and Sciences of Tufts University. Prior to embarking on her career in university administration, Kathryn practiced law at Goodwin Procter, LLP. She holds a B.A. from Washington University, an M.A.T. from Georgetown University, and a J.D. from Vermont Law School. Kathryn is a recipient of the Joseph B. Martin Dean’s Leadership Award for the Advancement of Women from Harvard Medical School and the Dean’s Distinction Award from Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
