Paula manages a diverse range of administrative duties at the Institute. Functionally, she oversees sponsored research, and faculty/academic affairs. She also supports the Institute Director and Chief Operating Officer in planning and execution of Institute committee and Board meetings, and acts as a bridge between the Institute’s translational efforts and its academic ties. Prior to joining the Wyss in 2013, Paula built a grants structure for Harvard’s first joint-school academic department, Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology, before serving as its interim leadership. She has 20 years of progressive research administration experience in the life, physical and engineering sciences at Harvard, with prior work in federal procurement. Paula holds a B.A. in Managerial Finance from Simmons College, and a Master’s of Science in Management with a focus on organizational behavior from Emmanuel College. Paula also proudly served as a mentor in Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences Staff Mentoring Program.
