Bob is a Staff Scientist who works on advancing preclinical testing and modeling the human respiratory system using organ-on-a-chip technology. Bob has extensive hands-on experience in translational research, respiratory disease modeling systems, and pathophysiology. Bob earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Université Catholique de Louvain. He was a Research associate at Marsico Lung Institute and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Diseases Research and Treatment Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bob’s research has focused on drug development and inflammatory diseases. He is actively involved in international education STEM outreach in Africa.
