Elizabeth Calamari

Elizabeth Calamari is a biomedical engineer specializing in microfluidics for tissue engineering, consumable devices, and associated  hardware. She studied Biomedical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute specializing in tissue engineering receiving a B.S. with a minor in biology in 2013 and a M.S. in 2015. She began at the Wyss in 2015 working on developing new materials and designs for Organs-on-chips. Elizabeth is currently involved in the Biostasis program, designing components and instrumentation for the cognitive screening of tadpoles, and the Aquapulse project, creating a point of use water treatment device to sterilize drinking water based on microfluidic pulsed electric field technology.
