Max Schubert received a B.S. with dual majors in Microbial Biology and Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and received a Ph.D in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University. He also worked as a Research Associate at Amyris Inc., developing new applications for genome editing technology for fermentation of high-value products. His current projects explore how genome-wide screens, directed evolution, and precision genome engineering can be deployed toward the study of photosynthesis and biological carbon fixation.
