Haiqing Bai

Haiqing Bai is a Wyss Technology Development Fellow working with Dr. Donald E. Ingber at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pathology at the University of Rochester working in Dr. David Dean’s lab on lung gene therapy and acute respiratory distress syndrome. His current research focuses on using human lung organ-on-a-chip, including the human Airway Chip and the human Alveolus Chip, to simulate human lung pathophysiology in vitro. His translational research effort focuses on using these bioengineered tissue models to identify biomarkers and to develop novel therapeutics for lung diseases, such as viral infections.
