Onye Ahanotu is a Staff Research Engineer, interested in both the practical and fundamental development of innovative material systems and processing methods, at the intersection of disciplines. In his time at the Wyss Institute, he has focused on investigating governing design principles, approaches to overcome scale-up challenges, as well as development of in-house applications testing capabilities.
Onye received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering from University of California, Irvine, in 2010, before completing his M.S.E. in Materials Science & Engineering at University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, in 2012, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. While at Michigan, he investigated deposition methods for OLEDS & OPV materials, in addition to implementing a mini-business product and production line for a Detroit based non-profit.
