Ben M. Maoz received his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from Tel Aviv University, Israel, in 2008 and 2010, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tel Aviv University, Israel. His thesis work on the “preparation and characterization of chiral metal nanostructures and their interaction with chiral molecules” enabled him to understand fundamental properties of light and asymmetric nanostructures. He joined Prof. Kevin Kit Parker in 2013 as a post-doctoral fellow, where he worked on traumatic brain injury (TBI). As a Wyss Technology Development Fellow, he will be working on a variety of projects, continuing his work on (TBI) together with new projects related to Biomimetic Microsystems Focus Area (organs-on-chips) to study and develop novel platform for assessing toxicity on u-human organs.
