Mingjie Dai received his B.A. and M.Sci. in Physics from the University of Cambridge, UK, and his Ph.D. in Biophysics from Harvard University. During his graduate work, he developed new methods for DNA-PAINT high-sensitivity super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, as well as directed DNA nanostructure self-assembly. As a Wyss Technology Development Fellow, and jointly as a Departmental Fellow at the Department of Systems Biology at the Harvard Medical School, his general research interest is in developing novel molecular technologies for probing, perturbing and programming biological systems. In particular, he is interested in developing novel methods for detection and profiling of single protein molecules in the cell.
