As part of the Harvard Horizons Symposium, Matheus Fernandes will give a talk on Bio-Inspired Principles Learned from Glass Sea Sponges for Engineering Stronger Structures.

Harvard Horizons celebrates the ideas and innovations of Ph.D. students at Harvard and helps them gain essential professional skills. Each year, eight PhD candidates present brief, compelling talk where they present their research from the Sanders Theatre stage. Fernandes is a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Mathematics at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
