Role Description:

The lab of Don Ingber, M.D., Ph.D., Founding Director at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University seeks outstanding postdoctoral applicants with expertise and knowledge of reproductive biology to join an interdisciplinary team of biologists and engineers focused on the use of human Organ Chips to study the effects of healthy and dysbiotic microenvironments on contraceptive function and enable development of novel, non-hormonal, contraceptives.

What You’ll Need:

  • Ph.D. and/or M.D.,Ph.D and have a proven record of high-quality publications in reproductive biology or sperm biology.
  • Experience working with human samples in the context of reproductive biology or women’s health.
  • Experience with basic molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience with sperm function tests, including sperm motility, vitality, acrosome reaction and DNA fragmentation,
  • Strong interest in contributing to multidisciplinary teams (engineers, biologists/physiologists, clinicians) is critical for this position.
  • Ability to work in an independent manner and meet specific goals and milestones, but serve as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team

Preferred experience includes:

  • Experience with cell-based assays and cell culture using a microfluidic device is preferred.
  • Working as a member of a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team
