Jay joined the Harvard Office of Technology Development in 2016, and he manages the intellectual property portfolio for the Wyss Institute at Harvard. Jay engages with faculty, management, and the business development team to develop strategic patent positions and translate emerging technologies. Prior to joining Harvard, Jay was a partner in the Boston office of K&L Gates LLP, where his practice focused on patent portfolio development, IP transactions, and patent litigation. Jay holds a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center), a M.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
