Throughout a three-decade career in biopharma, Marnie Hoolahan, M.B.A. has built a reputation as a commercialization strategist who turns complex market, clinical, and organizational dynamics into clear direction and executable plans for leaders and teams. She has held pivotal roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Geltex, and Genzyme, and most recently served as President of The NemetzGroup LLC.

As President of The NemetzGroup, Marnie led the firm’s strategic vision, commercial offering, and day-to-day operations, managing a team of consultants and G&A professionals while guiding complex client engagements across rare diseases and other high-need areas. Her work spans corporate and franchise strategy, new product planning, pre-commercial and launch planning, portfolio and lifecycle strategy, and business development support, often serving as embedded, fractional leadership for executive and founder teams.​

Marnie is known as a strategic and creative sparring partner to biopharma C-suites, helping crystallize value narratives, investor stories, and go-to-market roadmaps that align stakeholders and unlock key inflection points. She combines disciplined analytics with candid, energizing collaboration, enabling organizations to navigate ambiguity, prioritize investment, and execute with less friction in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.​

At the Wyss Institute, Marnie is a member of the Wyss Mentor Hive, specializing in therapeutics, commercialization, and storytelling, advising early-stage teams on positioning, pitch development, partnering strategy, and the organizational foundations required to translate breakthrough science into sustainable companies. She holds an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.S. from Boston College.

The Wyss Mentor Hive is a mentoring program that invites investors and business professionals with significant early stage translational experience, clinical and regulatory experts in driving therapeutic and device development, and serial entrepreneurs with a track record of success to work closely with Wyss entrepreneur teams on startup formation and technology commercialization.
