Biointerfaces International 2016

Conference

This conference has a special format: it aims to build bridges between the relevant application areas, between science & engineering, between scientific discovery, innovation & technology, and between senior scientists & early-career researchers. Both internationally highly renowned and young scientists from academia, industry and clinics will present their latest, often unpublished scientific findings and technological breakthroughs. All speakers will begin their talks with a general introduction that does not require specialized knowledge to follow. The focus of this conference is education across the many fields of relevance to biological surfaces and interfaces, and this is particularly targeted at young researchers.

A full day will be dedicated to translating science to clinics and to markets. Success stories of start-ups, corporate ventures and early-stage business ideas will be presented, as well as information on how to get innovation to clinics.

Spotlight: Wyss Core Faculty members Joanna Aizenberg and Dave Mooney, and Associate Faculty member Simon Hoerstrup will present talks.
