Assistive Wearable Robots Study

Help Us Develop Wearable Robots

The Wyss Institute at Harvard is looking for healthy participants to help develop a soft wearable robotic suit. The suit will be designed to benefit individuals who engage in activities such as load carrying, lifting, holding postures, walking, and running, as well as those who engage in rehabilitation activities. The goal of this study is to develop the soft exosuit to prevent injuries and rehabilitate those who have been injured.

This research study will involve at least one visit during which we will gather information on how you move and perform some of the above-mentioned activities with or without the suit’s components. Photos and videos may be taken.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be between 18 and 50 years old
  • Be comfortable performing athletic activities to a point at which you become fatigued
  • Not have a diagnosed or suspected condition affecting your muscles, movements, or gait

If eligible, you may receive up to $550 in gift cards per calendar year during your participation in the study. Compensation for travel expenses may also be available.
