Wyss Institute at Harvard University
Endometriosis affects millions worldwide. Diagnosis can take 7 to 10 years and often relies on invasive surgery. The FemSmaht Research Team at the Wyss Institute is working to change that.
We are conducting a study to develop a non-invasive method for detecting endometriosis and we are looking for menstruating individuals (endometriosis-positive and those without endometriosis) to help move this research forward.
What participation looks like:
Taking part in this study is designed to be simple and flexible:
- Collect menstrual fluid samples at-home using a kit we provide.
- Complete a brief 30-min study visit (in person or virtually via Zoom/phone).
- Participate in up to three donation cycles (one per menstrual cycle).
Who can participate?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 18 to 64 years old
- Currently have a menstrual cycle
- Are generally in good health
- Are not pregnant
You do not need to have endometriosis to participate. We welcome individuals both with and without a diagnosis.
Compensation:
Participants eligible for the study can receive up to $100 in Amazon gift cards.
Why this matters?
Your participation could help advance a more accessible, less invasive way to diagnose endometriosis and improve care for future patients.
