The Wyss Institute’s website has been awarded a 2017 W³ Gold Award in the General Website Category – Biotechnology. The Annual W³ Awards, announced this week by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, honor creative excellence on the web and recognize the people behind award-winning sites, marketing programs, social content, mobile sites/apps, and online video.
In 2016, the Wyss launched its award-winning website for the mobile age by making it fully responsive, and rendering the Institute’s rich multimedia content accessible across multiple web platforms to more effectively highlight the Institute’s innovations and collaborative efforts in technology translation. The website also won two Webby Awards in May 2017.
The W³ is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). AIVA is an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms. Receiving over 5,000 entries for the 2017 contest, the W³ Awards honor outstanding digital content created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide. This year’s honorees also include Habitat for Humanity, the National WWII Museum, Lufthansa and E! News. The Wyss Institute website can be viewed here.
