Benjamin Boettner, Ph.D.

Benjamin is a Science Communication Manager at the Wyss Institute covering the breadth of the Institute’s research and translation efforts. Using various forms of communication, including press releases, research highlights, and content to be used in strategic and philanthropic outreach, he conveys early-stage fundamental scientific breakthroughs and enabling technologies, as well as milestones in their translational development on their path to commercial stages. With science editorial experience from the publishing industry, Benjamin also assists researchers with advice on manuscript preparation. Following his Ph.D. work at the Max Delbrueck Center for Molecular Medicine and Humboldt University in Berlin, he pursued postdoctoral research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Rockefeller University in New York. Later, he joined Nature Medicine and Science-Business eXchange (SciBX), a translation-focused publication co-founded by Nature Publishing Group and BioCentury Publications as a science editor.
