Katrin oversees research compliance at the Wyss Institute, including financial conflicts of interest and export controls. Before joining the Wyss Institute in April 2018, she served as Research Compliance Officer at the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Her responsibilities included export controls and financial conflicts of interest. She was also involved in IRB protocol reviews and research policy projects.
Katrin received her Ph.D. from the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. She spent several years as a basic and applied cancer researcher at Princeton University, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute before entering the area of research compliance.
