Gozde Basara is a trained mechanical engineer who received her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame. She is experienced in utilizing 3D bioprinting in various cardiac tissue engineering applications such as creating biomimetic post-heart attack tissue models and therapies using human stem cell-derived cardiac cells. She joined the Wyss Institute in 2023 to help optimize and streamline biofabrication efforts for a therapeutic program that is close to commercialization.
