David Walt, Ph.D., Wyss Institute Core Faculty member, will speak at the Powering Precision Health Summit on October 24, 2017 at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, MA.
The Powering Precision Health Summit 2017 (PPHS 2017) is bringing together the foremost leaders in biomarker research and translational medicine to present the latest advances in their disciplines. This year’s event will feature multiple scientific tracks covering key therapeutic areas, including neurology, oncology, cardiology, infectious disease and more.
Dr. Walt will speak about the latest prevention and detection technologies used in oncology and what’s on the horizon for the future. The Walt Lab participates in advanced molecular diagnostics research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Using advanced detection technologies, the lab is breaking new ground, developing a blood test for detecting early-stage breast cancer, diagnosing latent tuberculosis, and detecting various infectious diseases.
The two-day precision health summit will be held at the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square on October 24th and 25th and will feature over 50 speakers who will present their latest research on the biomarkers of life and translational medicine.
