Wyss Institute Founding Director Donald Ingber, M.D., Ph.D., is being honored by the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) with the 2nd Annual BMES Shu Chien Award Lecture, which recognizes "an individual who has demonstrated meritorious contributions to the field of cellular and molecular bioengineering". The award – which is dedicated to Professor Shu Chien, M.D., Ph.D., who was past President of the BMES and is one of the foremost pioneers and educators in biomedical engineering worldwide – will be given to Ingber on January 8 in New Orleans during the 2016 Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering (CMBE) and Advanced Biomanufacturing (ABioM) Joint Conference.
