David Chou graduated from Caltech in 2003 with a B.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics. He obtained his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and Ph.D. from the University of Paris Diderot in 2012. His graduate studies focused on how systemic inflammation affects hematopoiesis and the marrow microenvironment. Following residency in Anatomic Pathology and fellowship in Hematopathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, David joined Donald Ingber’s lab in 2016 as a Wyss Clinical Fellow. As part of the Biomimetics focus area, he is working with Organs-On-Chips technology to develop clinically relevant models of the human bone marrow to improve the diagnosis and treatment of hematopoietic diseases.
