Alex is working on developing therapies for age-related chronic diseases. He completed his PhD in George Church’s lab, where he developed a cell rejuvenation discovery platform through the use of multiomic measurements and high throughput transcriptomic reprogramming screens. Using his platform, Alex discovered new gene therapies for rejuvenating primary human cells and mouse tissues. As a postdoc, he validated his discoveries in preclinical disease models and expanded his technology platform to human blood stem cells, which are connected to many age-related diseases. Currently, Alex is incubating a biotech startup focused on translating his research into cell and gene therapies that will drastically improve human health.
