Marika Ziesack is a Staff Scientist working on the Wyss Institute Project “Circe” which aims to convert carbon dioxide waste streams into biodegradable polymers. Her research interests include metabolic engineering of non-standard bacteria, fermentation of sugar and gas feedstocks and bio-process design and analysis. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Heidelberg University and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
