Warrior Web Exosuit Study

The Wyss Institute at Harvard is developing a soft wearable suit to improve human performance and reduce the energy used during walking.

This research study will involve at least one visit during which we will ask you to walk and perform other movements (such as squatting) while carrying a heavy load and/or wearing the assistive suit.

We will collect information about the way you move, how your muscles behave during movements, and how much energy you use to move. Photos and videos may also be taken.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be between 18 and 50 years old
  • Be an experienced load carrier (i.e. member of a military program (off duty or on leave), ROTC, or other habitual recreational/occupational load carrier)
  • Not have a diagnosed or suspected condition affecting your muscles, movements, or walk

Compensation is available for eligible participants.
