Stroke survivors needed for the design and development of a soft, lower-extremity assistive suit
The Wyss Institute at Harvard is developing a soft, lower-extremity suit to improve walking and the independence of mobility-impaired stroke survivors. This research study will involve one or more visits during which you will assist with the design and development of the suit by providing information about the way you walk and testing the suit’s components.
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Be between 18-90 years old
- Have been diagnosed with a stroke by a physician
- Do not have any serious conditions that may interfere with ability to participate in this research (for example, conditions affecting your muscles, skin, vasculature, or heart), or a history of visual, vestibular, or balance disorders
- Are able to understand, communicate, and be understood by research staff
*Note: additional study-specific criteria will be used to help determine placement in the study.
You may receive up to $550 in gift cards per calendar year during your participation in the study. Compensation for travel expenses may also be available.
