Endometriosis is a common disease affecting 10% of women globally, making it one of the largest unaddressed indications in the world. It is associated with infertility and significant, frequently debilitating pain. Understanding its pain mechanisms is critical for targeted endometriosis treatments. We are developing in vitro models of ectopic endometrial lesions and studying connections to nerve networks, advancing endometriosis treatment and better pain management strategies.
